Northwestern University (B.A. 1948); University of Miami (J.D. 1952 - Cum Laude).

Past President of the Florida Mental Health Association; Past President Dade County Mental Health Association; Trustee, Martin County Arts Foundation.

Lt. Colonel, United States Air Force Reserve (Judge Advocate Generals Department), retired.

Chief Assistant United States Attorney, Southern District of Florida, 1963-1969; litigation partner, Ruden, Barnett, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, P.A., Miami, Florida, before moving to Stuart in 1989; complex civil, commercial litigation, and securities litigation; banking law, environmental law; of counsel to the law firm. Certified as a Mediator and Arbitrator in State Courts and Mediator in Federal Courts.
