Born New York, New York, March 5, 1950; married to Debra; two children.

Professional Activities:
Florida Bar (1977); admitted to practice, Florida (1977); U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida (1978), including Trial Bar (1983); U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit (1979); U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit (1981). American Association for Justice (1986-2007); Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers (1992-2008); Martin County Bar Association, President (2002-2003), Palm Beach County Justice Association; St. Lucie County Bar Association; Vice-Chairman, 19th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee (2009-2010).

Education:
Yale University (B.S., 1972); University of Miami (J.D., 1977).

Practice:
Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer (certified, 1991, recertified, 1996, 2001, 2006). Mr. Sobel's practice is devoted to representing plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death cases in all appropriate courts, including appellate courts.
